After three years in the making, the new Cesium-powered Climate Viewer 3D is finally here! This website is still under construction and may contain a few bugs, so please report any issues and have fun!
No. Cesium runs without an install. It uses HTML5 standards, namely WebGL, that are natively supported by browsers.
Recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer 11 are supported and tested with every release. Safari and Opera both work as well, but are not as actively tested.
Cesium runs on any platform with a WebGL capable browser, including Windows, Linux, OS X, Android, iOS, and Windows Phone.
Cesium works on any video card that supports WebGL. This includes almost all NVIDIA and AMD cards made since 2004 as well as recent Intel video cards.
To see if your video card supports WebGL, visit our WebGL Report.
With the blocking of NPAPI, our Google Earth powered CV3D is now dead. You can still check out the old version of Climate Viewer 3D here or read all about our conversion from the GE plugin to Cesium!
